3t has reached the finals of one of the most prestigious and longest established awards competitions for the offshore energy sector – the Offshore Achievement Awards.
3t is one of four companies in the running for the ‘Skills Development’ title – an important award for the offshore sector which acknowledges and celebrates the critical work being done to develop a skilled workforce to meet industry needs now and into the future.
The company was shortlisted for its significant contribution to skills development, which includes the creation of new training programmes such as the groundbreaking ‘Women into Wind’ initiative, which saw 3t partner with Ørsted to address gender imbalance, and its ‘Military to Wind’ programme, which leverages the transferable skills and safety ethics of military veterans for energy roles. Through innovative programmes like these, as well as other important initiatives, 3t is helping to ensure that the offshore industry has workers equipped with the skills, confidence, and qualifications to deliver the UK’s NetZero ambitions and make a lasting impact through quality assured courses.
Annabel Leckenby, Group Marketing and Communications Director at 3t, said: “What fantastic news to hear 3t has been shortlisted in this year’s Offshore Achievement Awards. These awards are amongst the most coveted in the offshore industry and we are honoured that all our pioneering work in skills development for the sector has been recognised for excellence by the judges.
“We’re now looking forward to the awards ceremony in March and wish all of the other finalists at the event every success.”
Winners of the Offshore Achievement Awards will be announced at an awards dinner in Aberdeen on Thursday 13th March.
