Course Overview

Confined Space Rescue and Recovery of a Casualty provides the skills to work as part of a dedicated recovery team in a confined space environment.
Delegates will learn to rescue and recover casualties from a confined, enclosed or restricted space in the event of an emergency.
This course involves the use of respiratory protective equipment (RPE).

Course Content

Delegates completing this training course will be able to;
- Use appropriate knowledge for carrying out emergency rescue and recovery of casualties from confined spaces
- Prepare to work safely in a confined space under emergency conditions
- Enter and exit a confined space safely
- Prepare and use respiratory protective equipment (RPE) in accordance with manufacturers specifications
- Use rescue equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturers instructions
- Follow procedures and work safely
• Deal with emergencies

  • Certification: A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
  • Certificate validity (months): 36
  • Target audience: Personnel who are a part of a dedicated rescue team working in confined spaces.
  • Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 3 years.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport.
  • Health prerequisites: Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement.
