With 12 years of operational experience working offshore, Les has the tools, knowledge to make training highly engaging and relatable to delegates. With his extensive experience in developing courses on leak detection, hydro-testing, and accumulator charging, Les will enable 3t to significantly expand its mechanical training offerings.

Rob Sellar, Lead Electrical Instructor

A man with short gray hair is standing in front of a plain white wall in an Aberdeen facility. He is wearing a gray polo shirt with a white "3t" logo on the left side, representing 3t Training Service, and a lanyard with a badge around his neck. The man has his hands in his pockets and has a neutral expression.

Rob’s distinguished career spans a range of roles within the energy and oil & gas sectors, starting with his early experience as a Mining Electrician at the National Coal Board.

Progressing into the oil & gas industry, Rob has worked onshore and offshore for companies such as Texaco, Wood Group, and Saudi Aramco, generating vital operational experience in supervisory roles. Transitioning from operations to training, Rob spent 17 years specialising in instrumentation training with ASET, passing his expertise to the next generation.

Rob’s knowledge and expertise will be instrumental to 3t, where his first task will be establishing a brand-new CompEx facility. This facility will enable us to offer CompEx Ex01-Ex04 training in Aberdeen for the first time. By introducing this, we can meet the local demand for training, eliminating the need for participants to travel long distances.

In his new role, Rob will help us introduce a diverse range of electrical courses, including HVG switching, an essential practice for offshore operations in the oil & gas and wind industries.
