The UK’s largest energy sector training provider, 3t Training Services, is expanding its recently opened Teesside centre with a raft of new wind, construction and oil and gas courses to meet growing customer demand across the Tees Valley.
Since it opened last autumn, the facility has trained more than two thousand people with skills much needed across the energy and wider safety-critical sectors. 3t is now investing in a range of additional courses to support the needs of businesses in the area, as well as emerging sectors such as hydrogen and carbon capture.
New courses include the Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) for the oil and gas sector, H2S Training, OPITO Rigger Competence, OPITO Banksman Competence, IPAF Training for those using powered access equipment, Forklift Truck Training, Medical Services and Face Fit Testing amongst others.
This expansion follows the recent announcement that 3t’s joint venture emergency response training facility in Bowburn with Vital Fire Solutions has now been approved by OPITO (the oil and gas training body) to offer helideck firefighting courses – a highly important skill for offshore safety.
Emma Howorth, 3t Training Services General Manager for England, said: “We are thrilled to enhance our training offer across the Tees Valley region. This expansion not only strengthens our presence across the entire North East but also demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing new opportunities for skills development for local people. The additional courses will play a significant role in supporting the next generation of energy sector workers.”
To celebrate the expansion, 3t will be hosting a series of events and open days, offering exclusive tours of the facilities and opportunities to learn more about the new courses. Clients, stakeholders, and prospective delegates will be invited to join and discover the benefits of training with 3t Training Services.
