To support the continued growth of 3t Training Services across the UK and assist in delivering knowledge, skills, and key qualifications to safety-critical industries, we have made a series of significant promotions across our UK facilities.
We are proud to share the appointments of Paul Johnson as General Manager for Teesside, Lee Wilson as General Manager for Newcastle and Enfield, and Craig Wilson as General Manager for Dyce, the Quay, and Montrose. Each of these positions will play a critical role in supporting the bespoke workforce requirements of each region in which they operate from.
Paul, Lee, and Craig have many years of experience working at 3t and have proven to be invaluable members of the team during their time with us. All three will continue to help 3t Training Services to innovate and deliver customer excellence in their new positions and will oversee the day-to-day operations of their respective facilities.
Each of their progression journeys at 3t highlights their individual drive and ambition to make a lasting difference across the business and for the delegates we support.

Paul Johnson – General Manager, Teesside
In four years at 3t, Paul has excelled through roles including Renewables Trainer and Centre Manager, Operations Manager, and Centre Manager on his way to becoming General Manager for Teesside. Paul is aided by an extensive education and technical background thanks to his position as a Process Engineer at AEI Cables and his time at Newcastle College in various curricular-led roles
As a Newcastle local, Paul has worked extensively in the region and has a deep understanding of the requirements facing regional industries and how we can help prepare the local workforce for the future. Paul’s growth journey in his time at 3t, and his background in higher education, highlights his dedication to learning and development, and individual progression.

Lee Wilson – General Manager, Newcastle and Enfield
Over two stints as a vital part of our team in north-east England, Lee has established himself as an expert in rope access and working at height training. Initially joining 3t in 2010 as a Rope Access Trainer, Lee progressed to Training Operations Manager in 2018. After a spell away from the company, Lee returned to 3t in 2022 as Centre Manager for Teesside before progressing to Operations Manager for Newcastle.
Through his positions at 3t and his time as a Rope Access & Training Manager at RAM Industrial Training between 2020 and 2022, Lee has been instrumental in supporting a range of industry requirements local to the North East and across the UK. Construction, electricals, utilities, scaffolding, and renewables are just some industries that have benefited from Lee’s training expertise and the knowledge he has passed on to those new to these various industries.
Now, as General Manager for Newcastle and Enfield, he will pass his expertise on to new instructors joining our team and the delegates looking for a career at height.

Craig Wilson – General Manager, Dyce, The Quay, and Montrose
With over 10 years of experience as part of the 3t team, Craig has progressed through a series of roles to take him into his new and well-deserved position. Overseeing much of our training operations within Scotland, Craig will be pivotal in driving three out of four training locations north of the border.
Initially joining as an Instructor/Assessor, Craig obtained vital experience supporting delegates directly on courses including Crane Operations, Banksman Slinger, and a variety of lifting related courses. Craig has maintained his appetite for supporting others on their learning and development journeys in the years since and will be taking his experience running our courses into his new role.
