Course Overview

Fire Warden training provides guidance on reducing the risk of fires occuring and preparing to respond effectively if they do. Delegates will gain the necessary understanding of fire and fire procedures.

The course covers the essential requirements of a fire warden under the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005 which came into effect in 2006.

Course Content

By the end of this Fire Warden training programme delegates will be aware of;
- The classifications of fires
- How combustion occurs and the different ways fires can be extinguished
- Different sources of ignition and how to mitigate or eliminate the risk from them
- Safety precautions to be taken when using extinguishers How fires start and how they spread
- The requirement for fire risk assessments and plans to be in place
- The role and duties of a fire warden
- The procedures to be followed in a fire situation and safety drills

  • Certification: A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion.
  • Certificate validity (months): 24
  • Target audience: Personnel with a designated responsibility for fire safety.
  • Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 2 years.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport.
