Course Overview

The GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) Electrical provides the knowledge and skills to carry out basic electrical tasks on a wind installation.

Delegates will learn to use working procedures and correct personal protective equipment.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites Required!
In order to complete GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) Electrical , delegates must hold:
    Delegates must be WINDA registered before arriving for the course.

Course Content

Delegates completing this training course will be able to;
- Explain the basics of electricity
- Explain risks and hazards associated with electrical work
- Explain the function and symbol of electrical components
- Explain the function of different types of sensors
- Explain and interpret a simple electrical diagram and demonstrate how to assembly it on a circuit
- Demonstrate how to make correct and safe measurements

  • Certification: A GWO certificate will be issued upon successful completion
  • Target audience: Those with no previous experience of electrical systems.
  • Revalidation: There is no revalidation requirement for this training programme.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport.
  • Health prerequisites: Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement.
