Course Overview
This course Package is the best way to start a career in the onshore renewables and wind energy industry.
The GWO Onshore BST Package includes GWO Fire Awareness, GWO First Aid, GWO Manual Handling and GWO Working at Height.
The equipment used during the training course carries a weight limit of 136-140kg. For participants this maximum weight includes clothes and safety equipment, we therefore recommend a maximum bodyweight of 120kg. Our equipment also has a maximum waist size of 120cm

Prerequisites
Prerequisites Required!
In order to complete GWO Onshore Basic Safety Training (BST) Package, delegates must hold:

Delegates must be WINDA registered before arriving for the course.
Course Content
Delegates completing a GWO Onshore BST Package will be able to:- Identify possible fire hazards within the wind industry and understand how to control and mitigate these hazards
- Administer safe and effective first aid in a wind turbine industry in accordance with GWO
- Correctly performing manual handling activities in the wind industry wind turbine environment
- Perform safe and comprehensive basic rescue from height in a remote turbine environment while meeting emergency response requirements for personnel new to the global wind industry

- Certification: A GWO certificate will be issued upon successful completion
- Certificate validity (months): 24
- Target audience: Anyone wishing to work onshore in the renewables and wind energy industry
- Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 2 years.
- Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport
- Health prerequisites: Due to certain aspects of the course being potentially physically demanding and/or stressful, delegates will be required to confirm their medical fitness & physical ability to participate on this course by completing our centre medical self-screening form prior to course commencement
