Quantitative Face Fit Test

Course Overview

A Quantitative Face Fit Test uses particle counting to test the quality of the seal on respiratory protective equipment (RPE) to ensure it fits and provides effective protection. 3t can perform a Quantitative Face Fit Test for a variety of masks.

Prerequisites

    - Personnel undertaking Face Fit Testing must refrain from smoking, vaping , eating, and drinking for at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled testing time. - Personnel wearing tight fitting RPE should be clean shaven in the region of the face seal in order to achieve a good face-to-face piece fit. - Any PPE (other than RPE) which, must at some point, be worn in the workplace (including safety goggles, hard hat, visors etc) must also be worn during a fit test as these may interfere with a face-to-face piece. - Face Fit Testing contains a number of moderate exercises, therefor personnel undergoing testing are required to be medically fit.
