The Offshore Baggage Hand Searching course is OEUK approved, and is a mix of theoretical and practical content which will provide delegates with an understanding of why and how baggage searches are carried out.

Prerequisites Required!
In order to complete Offshore Baggage Hand Searching, delegates must hold:
    - A valid and in-date Dangerous Goods by Air Awareness certificate

Course Content

Delegates completing this training course will look at;
- An introduction to passenger by searcher
- Background explanations on the reason for the search
- Explanations of the legal obligations on passenger
- Explanations on the what the search will entail
- Examples of exploratory questions
- PPE
- Examples of concealment
- Baggage search demonstrations by instructor
- Supervised search by candidate on unknown bag

  • Certification: A 3t Training Services certificate will be issued upon successful completion
  • Certificate validity (months): 24
  • Target audience: Personnel who are appointed in the role of Helicopter Administrator (Heli Admin) or those that require an understanding of offshore baggage searches.
  • Revalidation: The course must be revalidated every 2 years.
  • Items to bring: Government Issued Photographic ID eg Driver Licence or Passport
  • Health prerequisites: There are no health prerequisites for this training course.
